My name is Jestine Yong and I'm a professional electronic repairer. I’m also an author that has authored 5 e-books on electronics repair related topics. My hobbies besides electronics repair, is to fly RC Helicopters. This new found hobby was introduced by my friend back in the year 2008. He lent me a 2 channels RC helicopter and I was immediately hooked. I was fascinated by the small design of the electronic circuit board, motors and the battery and even amazed that this small little thing could fly and easily be controlled by the transmitter.
From that day onwards till today I have bought a lot of RC helicopters ranging from 2 to 4 channel. One thing in common about the 3 or the 3.5 channel Co-Axial RC helicopter is that they fly very slow and there is not much thrill. After sometimes you willl find it boring and start to look for other types of RC helicopter and hopefully could get the one with a faster forward speed. Let me tell you the fact that almost all the micro size 3 or 3 .5 channel RC helicopter in the market are designed to fly slow because the target market are for beginners. I thought to myself that there must be a way to make it fly faster without affecting the center gravity of the helicopter. If the center gravity is not balanced, although it can fly very fast, the helicopter will side dive and crash.
